How to Check Patch levels on UNIX?

To check patch level on different platforms.

AIX : oslevel –r
Linux : rpm –qa
HPUX : swlist
Solaris : showrev-p


Basic UNIX Commands:
  1. find . –name "filename " –depth –print ( Find a File )
  2. zip –r filename.zip ( Unzip a File)
  3. mount -t smbfs/nfs -o username=nsd,password=nsdbuild //172.25.70.48/builds /net ( Mount a Folder)
  4. Cpio -ivdm <>
  5. gunzip -d filename.gz ( Decompress)
How to Mount on different flavours of UNIX?


Solaris Mount:
mount -F nfs -o vers=3 172.25.70.140:/mnt/san01/rsync/public /mnt/public
dbclients : 172.25.71.115:/dbclients

AIX Mount:
mount -V nfs 172.25.70.140:/mnt/san01/rsync/builds /net

Linux RedHat:
mount -t nfs 172.25.70.140:/mnt/san01/rsync/builds /net
